The work of an Estonian as a second language teacher is varied and requires both pedagogical skills and a deep understanding of Estonian and language learning.
The main tasks of a teacher are:
helping students to develop all language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) according to their level and needs.
Prepares or selects appropriate teaching materials to help students learn Estonian effectively. Uses a variety of teaching methods to make lessons interesting and effective.
Takes into account the individual needs and learning style of each student.
Creates a desire in students to learn Estonian and develop their skills.
Collaborates with other Estonian teachers to share experiences and learn from each other

• Requirements:

  Excellent language skills, both written and spoken.
  Ability to plan and conduct engaging and effective lessons.
  Kandidaadilt ootame erialast kõrgharidust (võib olla omandamisel), kasuks tuleb eelnev töökogemus koolis. At least intermediate computer skills, experience in using various educational technologies would be an advantage.
